2. Information only

Content on this website is general information about mortgages. It is not a mortgage approval, a commitment to lend, or financial or legal advice. Rates, products, and approvals depend on your situation and on the lender.

3. Text Messaging Program

Program: Walker Mortgages Text Updates.

What you'll receive: Text messages about your mortgage inquiry or file, such as appointment scheduling and reminders, document requests, and replies to your questions. We do not send promotional text messages.

How you opt in: You opt in by entering your mobile number on a form on our website and ticking the text message consent box. The box is never pre-checked, and you can use our services without ticking it.

Frequency and cost: Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan.

How to opt out: Reply STOP to any message at any time. You will get one confirmation text, and then no more messages. To start again, reply START or submit our form again.

Carriers: Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy: We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile number or text message consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Policy for details.

No condition of service: Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of getting a mortgage or any other service from us.

4. Your responsibilities

Give us accurate information. Only enter a mobile number that belongs to you, or that you are allowed to use. Tell us if your number changes so that we don't text someone else.

This website and its content are provided as is. To the extent allowed by law, Walker Mortgages is not liable for losses that come from relying on website content or from interrupted or delayed text messages.

6. Changes

We may update these Terms. The effective date at the top shows when they last changed. Using the website or continuing to receive text messages after a change means you accept it.

7. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
